Hey, everyone! Time to give some updates on what's going on! If you want to see what my plans are related to posting art, skip to the last paragraph
So, around this time last month, I had finished my first year of college! It was such a great start to my college career: I made a lot of great friends, got involved in the theatre club, got injured and even got a into a society of said theatre club (this'll be explained later), became a character artist for a game at my school (also explained later), and matured some more.
So, here I feel I need a little timeline to lead in things. Somewhere in March, I became a character artist for a game being developed at my school. As far as I know, this game is only for my school because it's purpose is to help facilitate the Chinese language classes. I have been helping out up until the end of this month which is a collective deadline for a rough draft. Another great thing about this was that during the month of June, I was able to get paid! This has seriously been such a great first experience of taste of what my future (hopefully!) has in store for me.
And as for for injury, I had dislocated my shoulder back in April... while I was asleep (which made me a new member of my theatre club's Society of Blondes XD). Why did it dislocate while I was asleep of all things? Well, this was the third dislocation of the same shoulder, and I was almost unable to participate in the musical (but it healed up enough for me to continue! ). Fortunately, this is my left shoulder and I'm right-handed *huge sigh of relief* So yeah, I just had my shoulder surgery a few days ago, and I'm even typing this with one hand (please excuse any typos!).
Okay!! Here's the paragraph that most people care about. In my last journal, I mentioned my desired improvements of my art and even with the addition of a semi-realistic style. After a month or two of sketching and testing, I can say that what I've developed so far is a good start for me. I would've posted something, but the spring semester was really, really busy. So, in between the free times I would give myself this month regarding my job, I would work on a simple portrait to practice my semi-realistic painting. This picture will be posted probably next week. But, there will not be any art posted for the month of July. Why?? Because I'm finally opening an online shop! The month of July will be dedicated to creating the several pieces of art that will start my shop! I already have my account made, but I will will not release the name or website that it's on until these pieces are posted. So, after this one picture, more will be posted in the beginning of August!! I'm so excited! But, none of the art I currently have posted will be in the shop. Lastly, I'm also working on a personal project. I won't give out any more details on that until a later date.
Well, thank you for reading through this!
